Reservations for the "2008" Season" began:

In
order to insure a trip on the day of your choice reservations are highly recommended!
All trips require a 50% deposit! We ask that deposits be made by personal check and sent to our Post Office box within ten days of booking. If you need to cancel a reservation a full refund will be given provided we are notified at least 7 days from the scheduled departure date.
The reservation will be canceled without notification if deposit is not received within 10 days of booking.......

We try hard to reschedule trips canceled due to inclement weather, you can request a full 100% deposit refund if we can not accommodate your party on another date of your choice. Please allow 30 days to receive your deposit return during our busy season.
* If coming from away! You are encouraged to call 24 to 48 hr. before your scheduled departure day to check on the weather and the status of your trip. This is especially important for offshore trips if the weather forecast is in question...

The "Gath IV and the India Marie" depart the Wells Harbor town dock every day during the busy summer season!
***In an effort to accommodate our guests who travel alone or can't afford to charter the whole boat You are allowed to book individual fares on Gath IV's "four and six hour trips". A maximum of 10 guests will fish with plenty of tangle free room and in the added comfort and convenience of our new 34' U.S. Coast Guard inspected vessel. To keep this policy viable we need to adhere to a few rules.........
Rule #1: There is absolutely no hard liquor or drugs allowed! Have Fun and always respect your fellow crew members!...
Rule #2: All trips require a deposit! A 50 % deposit is required within ten days of booking to hold your reservations. If a reservation is made within a day or two of departure you must either bring a cash deposit to my truck at the harbor the night before or we can charge your deposit to your credit card as a service to you.
Last minute reservations! We now accept visa and master charge for last minute reservations only!
Rule #3: You must pay for the number of people that you've reserved for : if you reserve for 3 people you must pay for 3 spots even if you show up with less.
Rule #4: We need a minimum of 6 persons or payment for six to meet expenses on our four hour inshore trips: We need a minimum of 8 persons or payment for eight to meet expenses on Gath's six hour inshore and offshore trips.
Rule #5 You cannot book individual spots for 9 persons, you must pay the full charter price for 9 or more. We simply cannot fill an individual spot in most these instances.
Rule #6.. If the captain is forced to cancel a trip because of bad weather before the boat leaves the harbor your trip will be rescheduled or your deposit will be refunded 100%. If at the captains discretion the boat has to return to port from a fishing trip because of rough seas, refunds will be issued on a pro-rated basis, less the fuel costs for the distance traveled!
Rule #7: Again I wish to stress that Drinking on the"Gath IV and the India Marie" is seriously discouraged!
*There is a 3 beer maximum at the discretion of the captain..You may bring and enjoy a few beers. But if anyone becomes intoxicated the trip will be canceled by the Captain with no refund. We take guests fishing for fun, and enjoyment. Although we are not tea tottlers, I would much prefer to concentrate on "Catchin" a trophy bass or cod" than on the problems that serious drinking can cause on board our vessels........................................................

Mrs. Agatha Ethelynn Hawks Coombs," Gath " taken aboard the Gath III, July 4th 1997. Mrs. Coombs spent the day with us aboard her boat enjoying a lobster bake and later the fireworks off the beach in Oqunquit. Gath purchased the champagne to re-christen the Gath III... It was a proud day for all of us.
